PostSubject: Beware of Fraudulent Telephone Calls, E-mails or SMS Requesting Personal Banking Information   Fri May 27, 2011 10:34 pm

Members of the public
are reminded not to disclose their personal identification numbers
(PIN) and passwords to third parties under any circumstance. Bank Negara
Malaysia and commercial banks will NEVER request for personal banking
information or confirmation of credit card transactions through
telephone calls, emails or SMS.
Members of the public who receive
such requests are advised not to respond and to contact their respective
banks immediately to seek clarifications. Further information on
illegal financial schemes can be obtained from the Financial Fraud Alert
site at http://fraudalert.bnm.gov.my

    BNM TANYA [your enquiry/complaint]
    and send to 15888
    (Sender will be charged RM0.15 for sending a message and RM0.20 for
    receiving a message by the telecommunications service provider)
